About Us

- 1949
Mr. Cha Chi Ming arrived in Hong Kong from Shanghai and established China Dyeing Works Limited (CDW) in Tsuen Wan.
- 1956
CDW expanded into new buildings, machines and equipment having increased output fourfold. CDW was the first printing and dyeing company in Hong Kong to equip with continuous dyeing, roller printing, and automatic screen-printing equipment.
- 1960
CDW expanded into West Africa, setting up printing mills in Nigeria, Ghana, and businesses in the U.K., US and Indonesia.
- 1964
A new factory was established in Tsuen Wan, specializing in the processing of blended fabrics, which were bound for international markets.
- 1980
The CDW building in Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan was constructed.
- 1988
Publicly listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong as CDW Industries, Limited.
- 1992
After reorganization, CDW International Limited became the holding company of CDW Industries, Limited.
- 1993
A 48,000 sq m. Yuen Long factory was opened. It was based on the most up-to-date technology and included the largest floor area ever constructed in Hong Kong for a single manufacturing company. Liaison office in Shanghai was opened.
- 2005
Established New York Liaison Office.
- 2010
The cotton farm and ginning mill in Xinjiang started production. A new dyeing and printing mill located in Chongqing is due to start production in 2011.
